I was so excited to see Katie’s New Foods Challenge. With our CSA, we’re trying a lot of new things. Here are a few of the new foods I’ve tried over the last two weeks:
ramps – not a huge fan, but the recipe may have been bad.
swiss chard – yum – I’m looking forward to other recipes
parsnips – higher on the list than ramps, but not much. Got any good parsnip recipes?
chia seeds – not from our CSA, but still new – and I really liked them. I mixed them in with my steel-cut oats. YUM!
totsoi – not my favorite, but it was OK.
mache – a salad green – great in my BIG salads every night
The big thing coming up this week from our CSA – NETTLES! Anyone have any good recipes for stinging nettles? Or parsnips?
