So, I missed a few days …. but I do have things that I want to jot down …
I’m grateful for having a day off in the middle of the week to finish up Christmas shopping … avoiding the holiday rush makes the season so much brighter.
I’m grateful for surprise Christmas presents from mom.
I’m grateful for cosmos at 1 p.m. and two lazy cats who love to snuggle on the couch and watch tv.
I’m grateful for friends & good food.
I’m grateful for the local health food shop and a girl working who was helpful and friendly.
I’m grateful for the way baking an apple pie seems to make all the worlds’ problems disappear.
I’m grateful for the people who have given their lives to ensure our freedoms … so that people can express their opinions (even when they’re ludacris) such as this one: “I am very upset with what is going on in Green Bay at the city hall. They are making a mockery out of Christmas! Christmas is a Christian holy day. It is not a Jewish holy day or Hindu or any other religion. And to put a sign of witchcraft next to the nativity scene is blasphemous! Would the city of Green Bay fly a Minnesota Vikings or Chicago Bears flag next to the Packer flag? No, they have more respect for a football team then they do for Jesus Christ.” (I’m biting my tongue.)
I’m grateful for living in a city that I consider to be safe.
I’m grateful for kisses on the forehead when I’m sleeping.
Sleeping in ’til noon.
Random things heard over the scanner: “A boy called 911 and said his parents were cancelling Christmas.”
