It’s the PERFECT fall day. This is absolutley my favorite time of year. When the weather cools off, the wind picks up and the leaves start changing colors. It’s time to start baking and whipping up heart soups and stews – the good comfort food. Like pumpkin bread, muffins, chicken soup, chili, apple cider, apple pie, apple crisp … the list could go on.
It’s just cool enough to need a sweater, but not too warm that you’re hot with one on. The air feels different – lighter. Pumpkins are starting to pop up in fields and it’s nearly the perfect time for apples.
Too bad it’s going to get back into the 80s in the next few days. And it’ll definatley be warm when we’re in Missouri.
Too bad I can’t find a place that’s always this nice.
